Victor Patrick Alvarez

Victor Patrick Alvarez (Director) is a Cuban-American documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on the Cuban-American experience. Victor got his start over 10 years ago as a production assistant and was asked to create a documentary about Brittany Murphy’s film Deadline. Prior to Revolution Rent, Alvarez edited Jose Enrique Pardo’s acclaimed documentary, Cubamerican, a work that details the effects of the Cuban Revolution on the Cuban family. Cubamerican was screened at numerous film festivals across the United States, and recently aired on public television in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami.
As producer and editor, Alvarez collaborated with Cuban-American documentarian Janelle Guetis on her film, 13 Million Voices. The work was an official selection of DOC NYC, Key West, Tiburon, and Miami International Film Festivals (2015-2016) and named one of the “5 Best Music Movies” by the Miami New Times. Alvarez is the founder and owner of Mindfull Studios, and he is currently developing a Feature Film with his Grandmother, Angela Alvarez.
